Step One of Removing the Upper Cabinets

The upper cabinets are empty!

All of these upper cabinets will be coming down soon for the @oneroomchallenge so they had to be emptied out. We are getting rid of a lot of unnecessary stuff and finding ways to better organize our lower storage areas...Amanda surprisingly found room down there for pretty much everything including the glasses, plates, and bowls that will be going back up when the shelves are installed...so we know we will have plenty of space leftover.

I know open shelving isn’t for everyone but we have a large kitchen with a lot of cabinets and we HATE CLUTTER. Going to open shelving will force us to be more intentional about the items we keep, and make it easier to let go of the things we can honestly just live without.

Are you nervous to see me remove so much storage... or are you a wannabe minimalist like us??
